A STRONG AND VERSATILE NATURAL BINDER ADDITIVE

Bio+BA is a naturally engineered binder additive specifically formulated to replace traditional, environmentally harmful binders and additives used in a wide range of commercial applications. Certified through the USDA BioPreferred Program, Bio+BA is made from 100% natural, environmentally safe bio-resources and is non-leaching and environmentally safe.
Bio+BA is a uniquely manufactured bio-resin binder that delivers superior performance, including enhanced binding strength for briquetting, effective replacement of conventional binders, and the ability to enable warm mix asphalt (WMA) designs in road construction. Additionally, Bio+BA has been determined to be carbon-negative, making it a significant contributor to carbon sequestration. When used as a warm mix additive, Bio+BA ensures that sequestered carbon is permanently retained, effectively transforming roadways into long-term carbon sinks.

Warm Mix

Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) incorporates additives that allow asphalt to be produced and placed at temperatures 20–55 °C lower than Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). This reduction lowers production costs and energy consumption, supports higher use of recycled asphalt pavement (RAP), and decreases fuel use, emissions, and binder aging. WMA also improves workability and compaction, extends paving seasons, and enhances overall sustainability and cost efficiency—while using the same equipment required for HMA.

Bio+BA is now being used commercially as a warm mix additive.
Briquetting
Briquetting in the steel industry is a high-pressure mechanical process that converts waste materials—such as metal shavings, turnings, sludge, and furnace dust—into dense, solid, uniformly shaped briquettes. This process enables effective recycling, significantly reduces waste volume and transportation costs, increases the value of scrap materials, and can remove up to 99% of cutting fluids from metal shavings. Bio+BA is a proven, high-performance replacement for cement powder in this market sector.
