Bio+RBB is a naturally engineered binder additive which has been specially formulated to replace the traditional, environmentally harmful binders typically used for hard surface stabilization.
Bio+RBB is combined with recycled asphalt (RAP), typical base aggregate or recycled concrete to create a superior road base, which is harder and more resilient than traditionally untreated base material.  The addition of our Bio+ road base binder will create a more resilient and longer-term solution to support a variety of driving surfaces. The addition of Bio+RBB will extend municipal budgets by creating stronger, longer lasting road infrastructure. Bio+RBB supports a circular economy through the repurposing of unused RAP, previously used or unusable aggregate or concrete.
Bio+RBB has been determined to be carbon negative making it an important contributor to the carbon sequestering process.
The use of Bio+RBB as a road base binder ensures that the carbon sequestration process is permanent, transforming these roads into carbon sinks.

Base Stabilization

Bio+RBB is an effective natural binder for the stabilization of unbound granular base beneath pavements.  Stabilization is a method that can be used to increase the strength of all aggregates to extend pavement life. Englobe Labs executed a testing program on the effectiveness of our bio-binder on a variety of treated granular base materials. The resulting data confirms that the combination of Bio+RBB  binder with all of the tested aggregates demonstrated a significant increase in the base strength resulting in a positive ROI from a longer life cycle of the driving surface, creating safer roads and extending municipal budgets.
